Wenhaston, Village And Post Office c.1955

More about this scene
The Compasses Inn (left) closed in 2001, and is now being converted into a conference centre. The warehouse-like double-gabled building (centre) is the former Post Office, which closed in 2000. The house with the slated hipped roof beyond is faced with tiny flints, with brick quoins and door and window surrounds. This is very similar to the 1840s school at nearby Westleton, and was probably built by the same builder.
