West Bay, The Harbour 1930

More about this scene
West Bay only acquired its name in the 1880s when the railway was brought down to its picturesque harbour. The larger sailing vessels of late Victorian days have gone, but fishing boats still leave the harbour to bring home their catch, when the swell of the channel allows them to pass through the narrow harbour entrance.
