More about this scene
Designed by Nash in 1809 and rebuilt to look exactly the same after a fire at the beginning of the 20th century, Knepp Castle stands between the villages of West Grinstead and Shipley. In the grounds are Knepp Mill Pond, the largest lake in Sussex, and the remains of William de Braose's castle.
