More about this scene
Overlooking colourful Chichester Harbour, Itchenor lies at the confluence of the Bosham and Chichester channels of the estuary and was originally named Icenor. Between the 1600s and 1800s, the village played a vital role in the shipbuilding industry. Eventually, any trace of its previous prosperity became submerged beneath the houses and the harbour mud.
