More about this scene

Traffic restrictions and the roundabout by the Whyteleafe Tavern are still many years away, but the post office remains at 217 Godstone Road on the right. It moved here in the mid-1930s, when it was run by Spencer and Arrundale. Mr Trowse, bootmaker and repairer, traded next door from the 1930s but after the war it became Chandler`s cycle shop.
