I was christened here, and my aunt and uncle were married here.
To the left is a small pre-war development of houses - St John's Gardens - where we lived.
The church went into disuse in the 1970s. Before being demolished, one of the side rooms (the vestry, I think) was appropriated by the parish as a community room where as a child I was taken by my mother to watch her and her friends play bingo - all ...see more
