To this day this regiment is charged with protection of the royal family and are quite a colourful sight to see when changing the guard.

I lived in the barracks in 1959 my dad was a soldier. went to a lovely little school across the road. We moved away and came back to live in Calvery crescent of the barracks in 1965. And went to Trevelyan school . Then moved again. Denise
