Eighton Lodge

A Memory of Windy Nook.

Hello does anyone remember Eighton Lodge, now a care home for the elderly, as a care home for unmarried mothers? I was placed here at the age of 16 years of age in 1982 until my 17th bithday when I gave birth to my daughter on that very day. I would appreciate any information, on the history and when it finally closed. Thank you for reading this.

I spent three months at Eighton Lodge in 1975, I was one of the unlucky sad ones who had to have my daughter adopted, but she has now found me and we hope to meet soon

I remember it being open and I took a young girl there on a visit as part of my job in 1975. I don't know when it closed

I was there in late 76. I have dreadful memories of that place.
