Childhood Days Part 2

A Memory of Winson Green.

i remember when the fair used to come to summerfield park oh how we used to love the noise and the lights and all the people it was really great. my freind jen and myself used to love the waltzers and i recall we were given some free goes the one year boy did we feel sick after going round and round for about six times ,great fun.it was a lovely park as i remember a green space in amongst all those houses and shops. i used to go to dudley road school then moved on to city road girls school which was a great school for secondary modern they were very good teachers there and i used to love doing housewifery in the fourth year because we got to go to the teachers house and learn how to take care of all the chores ,something i think is lacking in our schools today. didn't do me or my friends any harm .happy days. carol of heath street.
