Was It Blown Up?

A Memory of Woburn.

Way back in 58/59, just a short distance outside Woburn, there was an old house, you had to climb over the fence at the side of the road and walk down a field to get to it. I think it was large and very old and there were lots of little passageways in the attics. On the particular day in question, the TV camera's were there and newspaper reporters. The house was blown up. I have asked many people in the village but no one else remembers this. All I would like to know is - wha t was the building, why did they blow it up, and why were the TV cameras there? I hope there is someone out there who will have some answers.
