More about this scene
The house to the right of the arched entrance at the far end of the street is where the poet Chaucer once lived. Just beyond the row of buildings on the right are the village stocks under the triangular wooden cover. Fletcher's House, a 17th-century building near the stocks, now houses the Oxfordshire County Museum.
