More about this scene
The two buildings dominating this view of the east side of Foregate Street have both been converted to other purposes. The Gaumont Cinema is a bingo hall now, and the Post Office is a J D Wetherspoon's pub, The Postal Order. Worcester's first post office was the Shades Tavern in Mealcheapen Street, first recorded in 1685.
