More about this scene
Troops were billeted at the shoreward end pavilion during the Second World War, though it had re-opened to the general public by 1946. A facelift was carried out to this pavilion in 1958, with a £1.1 million renovation scheme taking place in 1979-82. Today the Pavilion Theatre houses dances and concerts, both of the classical and rock music variety.
