More about this scene
This is a scene that might have been familiar to Worcestershire's earliest residents, for Wyre Piddle's church was built on the site of a prehistoric burial ground. It is quite probable that ancient dwellers crossed the Avon at a nearby ford and cultivated crops on the river's fertile flood plains.
