More about this scene
Uplyme's church tower is 47 feet high and a prominent landmark, once used a triangulation station by mapmakers. The medieval church has some particularly grotesque gargoyles - one depicts Judas Iscariot being eaten by a demon. The walls we see here lining the churchyard path have since been removed.
