My grt grandmother, Annie Murdoch nee Young, spent the last 40 or so years at Plantation Cottage (now Murdoch Cottage), Wamphray. I only met her once in 1954 and she is my first memory. I went to Wamphary School, we walked to school every day, my brother Leslie and me and my friend Evlin Easton, it was three miles there and three miles back.
