Farley Croft was a beautiful house, in Westerham, converted for use as a Dr. Barnardo's Home when I was there in 1953/54. It was a wonderful place to be living. Further to my initial comment:- I was at Valance in 1949 and was there as a delicate child, having been transfered from another such school "Wrens Warren Camp School" which closed down.
