More about this scene
The Round Table of King Arthur, made supposedly by the magician Merlin, has hung in Winchester's Great Hall for some six hundred years. In fact, it was probably made in the 13th century and restored in Tudor times, when the face of a young Henry VIII was added to the portrait of the legendary Arthur.
