Here we see some horse-drawn carriages, including a street cleaner's cart, parked outside the Parish Church of St John Baptist. Amongst the treasures to be found inside are a painting of 'The Last Supper' by Franz de Cleyn and a screen with panels carved by Grinling Gibbons. Both were gifts from George III.

I went to Trevalyan School approx 1967…..
Had an amazing English teacher, can’t remember her name, but she taught English so well.

Seeing the picture of the Information Centre brought back lovely memories for me because in 1968 it was The Windlesora Tea Rooms and Restaurant and I had my wedding reception there in October, there was a lovely room at the back for functions. My dad was a soldier in Windsor barracks in the 1950s. I was born in 1954 and when I was 5 went to Spital school across the road, which I loved. I loved living in the barracks too. There was no health or safety rules, we had complete run of the barracks and being around the horses. We then moved away.
