More about this scene
Boots has moved to a prime site on High Street and has been replaced by a modern building occupied by a building society. St Swithun's Church can just be glimpsed (look for the pinnacle) near the centre of the picture. Built in 1736, it is claimed to be one of the most perfect churches of its period in Britain.
