Caption for Yarm, The Friarage C1955: One of the important historic buildings of Yarm, this mansion was built in 1770 on the site of the ancient Friary, using some of the stones from the original building. In the late 1970s it was purchased from an industrial corporation to become the focus of the new Yarm School, now a flourishing independent educational establishment.
