Aberystwyth, Terrace Road 1964

More about this scene
The photos displayed in the window of WH Smith (left) give us a flashback of the pop stars of the mid-sixties - Gene Pitney, the Bachelors, and possibly a newish group called the Beatles. Boots (in the middle distance on the right) is also still with us, but the Coliseum cinema beyond is now a good museum of the town's history. The Central Hotel, next to Freeman, Hardy & Willis on the corner, is popular with students, but the young man walking down the road would now be unwise to try this today!
