More about this scene

The photos displayed in the window of WH Smith (left) give us a flashback of the pop stars of the mid-sixties - Gene Pitney, the Bachelors, and possibly a newish group called the Beatles. Does anyone remember Binky's Chinese laundry in South Road? I remember watching them washing the sheets by the geulan (spelling?) just by the river at the back of the shop.
Not much traffic.
