Ashby De La Zouch, View From St Helen's Church c.1965

More about this scene
This view looks from St Helen's Church, west across the rooftops, to Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church and Holy Trinity Church in Kilwardby Street. The countrywide low point of early 1960s building design has clearly arrived at Ashby, with the larger building towards the bottom right of the photograph standing out in an otherwise well-ordered townscape.
