Local Histories

Published on March 2nd, 2015

We've added a raft of new local history material previously only available in Frith book titles and which we hope you'll find fascinating.

Within the Frith archive lies a vast amount of rich detail of both local and British history. Over the last few years, we have commissioned specialist local history authors to bring their knowledge and research to over 1,000 local history books. When allied to the material within the archive, these texts become a phenomenal resource for anyone with an interest in local history. Some of the 10 million words of text assembled is now available online for select locations.

We have started with some of the most popular locations on the Frith site, but we plan to quickly expand the coverage of these texts.

Find a local history of an area near you, and settle down to read a cracking introduction to your area's past.
