More about this scene
The new garden suburb of Gidea Park was begun in 1911 and was still developing in the 1930s. It was not until 1933 that Gidea Park became an ecclesiastical parish, and its parishioners had to wait until 1937 for a permanent place of worship to be built. This was the Church of St Michael's and All Angels in Main Road.
