All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

Donald Jewson was president of the Laleham Skiff and Rowing club for many years until he died in 1956. I think I was about 4 when I went to the convent school in 1940. We lived in Southampton and the bombing was dangerous. I remember the picnics on the river, the nuns tucking their habits up to milk the cows and give us a ride on the pony. When there was a raid we slept in the crypt and pretended to be ghosts.
