Lower Peover, The Cobbles And St Oswald's Church c.1965

More about this scene
St Oswald's Church sits right at the end of a very rough cobbled road, hence the street is called The Cobbles. This is a really beautiful church in a lovely setting with some particularly fine box pews inside. The visitor may well be struck by the quality and preservation of the details of the carving of so many of the tombstones in the churchyard both here and in many nearby churches.
