I was born 1945 at 191a Carr Road and lived there for 20 years when I married and moved to Hayes. I lived there with my brother Alan, my cousins Roy and Pat Hodge lived next door as well as Ronnie Pickering. I was born in the maisonettes at 191a Carr Road in 1945 and lived there for 20 years until I married my brother is Alan Jackson. I now live in Farnborough Hampshire.

We were living in 97dabbs hill lane. My dad won the pools(274.oo) at the time a lot of money .He bought probably the first car in the street! I had two brothers john .a bit of a baddie! Both my wife and I went to Wood End schools. In our day, a girl who did not pass the 11+ exam would spend her whole school life in the one school, going through Nursery, Infants, Junior and Senior schools. As there were no senior boys, we had to go to Horsenden Secondary Boys School, or Grammar school if you passed the 11+. The big field you refer to behind the school was J Lyons and co sports field. I was born in Greenford on 1st Oct 1943 (25 Greenway Gardens) We were bombed out & were evacuated to various places. It must have been after the war we moved to 7 Laughton Rd in Northolt. We didn't live there long but moved to 27 Bournemead Close Northolt. There were fields at the bottom of the garden. I with my twin brother Clive were born in Ripon Close in1958. Moved to Ascot Close number 15 around 1969. We both went to Islip Manner followed by Vincent from 1969 to 1974. Our friends included Robert Gosling, Danny Field, Tony Mace, Clifford Partridge, Andy Cherry, Clive Phillips and Clifford Thorne, who sadly died at a very young age. I left Northolt in 1969 with my parents to move to Taunton Somerset, I lived in Hurst Close. I went to school in Greenford( Stanhope Boys ), I had great friends Danny Hickey, Robbie and Gary Gillespie, Paula Beard, Patricia and Ken Deeks to name a few. We had great times playing on the green at the back of Hurst Close, Doncaster Drive. The field leading up the Heights, go karting down the hill. If anyone remembers me please get in touch.
I moved to Northolt in 1970 with my step father, Alan Souster, my mother Gwen and my older sister Cindy. Our first home was Flat, Block 74, Dabbs Hill Lane. Below us in No.2 was Mr & Mrs Peg & their sons Andrew and Roy. In No.1 lived Martin and his ageing mother who used to sit on the balcony watching us play out back. I'm trying to trace my family from Northolt, my aunt and uncle, Alice and Albert Priest; they have six children, Teddy, David, Jimmy, Annie, Trudy and Danny who will all be in there 40's to 60's now.
