This view is largely unchanged today. The building to the right of the clock tower is now Mallards Restaurant, and the next one along is still the Prince Regent. There is no evidence of motor vehicles, although horses are still in use: the stains on the road surface prove that. The statue is that of Edward VII, who reigned from 1901 to 1910.
