Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The upper of two pools that are fed by chalk springs has been a popular beauty spot since the 19th century. The tale about a lass who drowned here after an encounter with the wicked Prince John has been told to generations of visitors as if it were true. Alas, the Victorian writer Martin Tupper, who lived close by, penned it. The thatched arbour has recently been restored.

Albury School And Albury Village Shops
I attended Albury school from 1941 to 1948. The headmaster was Mr Wareham, 2 other teachers were ;Miss Vokins and Miss Kemp. I lived in Little London and walked to school as did most of the pupils. I remember shops in the village; Pratts Stores, King the Bakers, Parfrey's Garage, chemist shop, (Mr Francis was the Pharmacist). Living In The Butcher's Shop
Just on the right up a slight hill and only just visible is the butcher's shop. It was part of the Albury Estate but a new butcher could not be found so it was sold out of the estate and my father, Kenneth Parker, bought it. He redesigned the interior, renaming it 'Whitecroft' after the name on an old map indicating the owner of the field upon which it was built and lived in it for about 15 years. There ...see more

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
