I do remember Pages model shop and the train in the window. If I recall correctly, the shop was run by Michael Emerson who incidentally was a talented musician being church organist at St. Francis of Assisi in Fencepiece Road.
I too have fond memories of 'Pages of Barkingside' too. I seemed to spend most of my pocket money in there on Airfix kits (or on Matchbox toy cars at Marments in the High Street). I thought that the owner had a musical connection, and the timothyjroot comment above confirms this.
