On the left, the shops include Hepworth's, Home and Colonial and International Stores. On the right are L D Faires the wine merchants, Annette's ladies fashions, and under the lock G W Henshall, ironmongers and builders' merchants. Henshalls succeeded Jaggard's in 1907 and closed in 1959, when the property was incorporated into Woolworth's. Beyond is the 1930s F W Woolworth's, which has replaced two earlier buildings.
