More about this scene
Christchurch was actually an historic town of Hampshire when this photograph was taken, though it had an undoubted influence on nearby Dorset. This is one of the loveliest views of the priory church, said to have been built with the aid of a mysterious carpenter. It was named Christ Church in his honour.
