Bath Road

This picture was taken from the Bridge at Twinches Lane, the near factory Was Crane Packing where my Uncle Worked for many years.
The bridge where the photo was taken from was there as the Bath Road was considered too dangerous for the girls going to the Girls Grammar School on the left side, the bridge was demolished in the 70s as considered dangerous. This stretch of the Bath Road looking towards T he Trading Estate Main Gate was part of The M.O.T. Safety Road experiment which included all the Safety ideas of the 60s ie traffic lights , restricted speeds And controlled traffic flow.
