More about this scene
Queen's Park was presented to the town by the London North Western Railway Company (LNWR) in 1887, and marked not only the Queen's Jubilee (hence the park's name), but also the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Grand Junction Railway in Crewe, which could be said to be the reason for the town's very existence.
