Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Holiday
Our father took us by train to Delabole for a holiday, in I think 1943.We stayed at a farm and had clotted cream every day at breakfast.It was stormy and a girl nearly got drowned.The quarry was very deep and they showed us the butterfly.I was nine.

Wartime Evacuee
In1939 I was for a short while evacuated to Delabole with my elder brother, I have very few memories as I was 5 at the time,. We stayed with Mr & Mrs. Mules (amended from Mills 19.07.2018) They lived at "St. Michaels" a property on the High St.. They had a son Edwin aged about 14. I seem to recall the property backed on to a railway cutting thro' which the occasional single carriage train would run. My home ...see more

68 To 76 High Street And Church
This photo was taken before 1950. My father built a house by the church where it shows outhouses (now No 76), and the light coloured house was owned by my uncle, and in my lifetime there was always a porch on the front.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
