A Memory of East Ham.
I haven't much of a memory as such because I was brought up in customhouse ..but on 23rd December 1944 my mum gave birth to me on Eastham Station. I never, all through my life knew of this until I enquired about a copy of my birth certificate, the Registrar said "I think you should have a full copy" and there it was written in black and white. Ii know its a long shot, but if anybody has heard in the past of anyone whether in Eastham or Manor Park talking of a situation way back in 1944 I'd be very grateful of extra info.. thanking you, Sheila
