More about this scene
Here we have another view of a track in the forest. Here we might catch glimpses of fallow deer and even roe and red deer. The area is, of course, always associated with the deeds of Robin Hood and his Merry Men and their struggles with the Sheriff of Nottingham; but the earliest tales of Robin are set in Yorkshire, and the stories only move him to Nottinghamshire in later ballads and tales.
