More about this scene
To the west of the town centre, and parallel with Chase side, this picturesque street has to be seen by any visitor to Enfield. Its buildings range in date from late mediaeval timber frames to early 19th-century flat-fronted brick houses, some at its northern end opening onto the River Lea. Also at the northern end, for the thirsty, is the Crown and Horseshoes Pub, which is attractively situated on the river.
