Watergate Farm Dairy
A Memory of Gerrards Cross.
When I viewed this photo of Station Parade I thought I recognised the man riding the bicycle as my Great Uncle, John English, who co owned the Watergate Farm Dairy at 32 Station Road and lived above the shop with my Great Aunt Ella during WW11. My Grandparents, David and Rosina Williams ran the Dairy with them and my Grandfather used to deliver the milk to their customers. My mother told me that she used to ride on the horse drawn milk float to help her father with the milk round. I was brought up in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross and had an idyllic childhood.
