I remember going to Denham on our bikes on a Saturday morning. You had a blue Dawes racing bike.
I remember you were in the sea cadets. They had an HQ in Trumpers Way.
One Saturday we hitch hiked to Guildford and ended up on the Guildford bypass. Took ages to get back to Hamwell. The memories come back bit by bit.
I remember you used to do deliveries for Carters store in Hanwell Broadway on Saturday mornings. You used a delivery bike with a small front wheel and a rack over it.
I remember you had a Hornby Dublo train set.
You must have retired in 1997, the same year I went.
