The buildings to the left are the river side of Quay Street and served as port facilities for the town. Quay Street was also once known as 'Schippistrete', a very descriptive title. The castle can be seen in the centre of the picture. The Moravians once held meetings in a building in the street before relocating uphill to St Thomas's Green.
