The large village of Heckington has two great buildings, the mill and the church of St Andrew, which is most unusual in that it was totally built in the same architectural style, Decorated, in a very few years. Hope Cottage near the church is dated 1888, and at No 16 Church Street a tall tree has replaced what looks like a broken-off post (right).
