More about this scene
The Perpendicular tower is 179 feet high, with a battlemented spire. There are four stages with the upper, bell stage, having three openings. The church underwent some restoration in the 19th century, but the basic tall, elegant structure is largely unaltered. The buildings to the right of the gateway, which led in from the Market Place, were part of the District Council offices.
