More about this scene

Fifty years ago the main A217 road through Lower Kingswood had not yet been widened. Beyond the bus stop the cluster of petrol pumps has been replaced by a BP garage slightly lower down the hill, and the garage on the right has been re-built as GVC (Vans Direct). Beyond the clock the Victorian gable has a date of 1884.
