Liskeard, The Cheesewring 1890

More about this scene
One of the strangest rock formations in the south-west, the Cheesewring near Minions on Bodmin Moor has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. The overhanging slabs of this granite tor have been weathered naturally. This view, looking south, gives no clue of the vast Victorian granite quarry which comes almost to the Cheesewring on the far side.
