The church of St Mary Magdalene is mainly 13th and 14th-century, with beautiful stained glass windows dating from the 16th century. The nearby Elizabethan Madingley Hall was the residence for both Edward VII and George VI during their time in Cambridge as undergraduates.

I was educated at Madingley Church of England School, our Principal and teacher was Gwen Ruddell M.B.E. a remarkable teacher.
