Minehead, Quay Street 1906

More about this scene
Many of the cottages lining Quay Street, which leads below North Hill to the harbour, belonged to fishermen who once sailed after herring. But tourists encouraged new activities, and the end cottage became an agency for the Red Funnel Line, selling tickets for steamboat cruises. It also offered accommodation, as does, no doubt, the Red Lion opposite.
