This beautiful house, still privately owned, was built in 1760 and is little changed, although the ivy that covers the building here has now been removed.

I came from Finland in May, where I was a member of Finlands Scouter. I was working in the kitchen and all area with Ron, who was my boss. I remember also Nora Wroe and of course mr Walker. I miss deeply everything happened that summer.
I was a member of Ardwick Lads Club, Manchester, and very interested in Youth Work. As such I attendedand passed a weeks course at Nash Court and became a member of the National Boys Club. I met youths from all over the British Isles (and the USA) and had an intersting and challenging week. We travelled down with a large group of Scottish NABC members from Edinburgh and the Lothian areas. My particulal journey commenced by coach to Liverpool where we continued by train to Hereford. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mr Walker and one of his relatives. I too was a member of St Matthew's church choir in Stretford, Manchester. I remember going to Nash yearly for some years in the 1960s. Some of the choir men also went but I think the organiser was the choirmaster Mr Ronald Frost, who was later the chorusmaster of the Halle Choir and is now a semi retired professor at the Royal Norhtern College of Music.
